The Conversation About Healing With Music In The Ottoman Empire


An online conversation called Healing with Music in the Ottoman Empire will be held by the Community Service Unit.


Istanbul Gelisim University Community Service Coordinatorship will host an online event called "Healing with Music in the Ottoman Empire" on Friday, October 15, 2021 at 20:00. The event, which will be moderated by Director of Sustainable Environment and Society Application and Research Center and Community Service Coordinator Doctor Faculty Member Aslıhan Güzin SELÇUK , while was attended by Trakya University Faculty of Medicine Department of Physiology Lecturer Prof. Dr. Levent ÖZTÜRK, Director of Sultan II Bayezid Complex Health Museum Lecturer Ruhi PEHLİVANCIK will attend as a speaker, Yaşar GÜVENÇ, a member of the Turkish Music Research and Promotion Group TÜMATA, will attend both as a speaker and with his performances. In the interview to be held on the importance of 10 October World Mental Health Day; It will be talked about the methods, practices and musical modes used in the treatment of mental illnesses in the Ottoman Empire.
