Mission
The mission of the Centre is to identify the problems encountered in environmental, economic and social areas that may arise in ensuring sustainability, to put forward suggestions for the solution of these problems, and to produce innovative solutions for a sustainable environment and society.
The main activity of the Centre is to conduct research and project studies on sustainability at local, regional, national and international levels and to provide mutual information and experience sharing among all kinds of institutions, organisations, communities and individuals related to sustainability.
It is within the objectives of the centre to contribute to the establishment of policies of the University in all sustainability areas, especially the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. To develop the sustainability awareness of students and all staff, to organise activities to increase environmental awareness, to develop social and national cooperation in the field of sustainability.
Vision
As the Sustainable Environment and Society Application and Research Centre, our main goal is to become a global centre that produces innovative solutions to both national and international problems with a participatory perspective in an effort to build a society that will guarantee the fair, equitable and sustainable use of a healthier and better quality environment for future generations. At the same time, it is aimed to organise and develop the sustainability activities of the university, to support new approaches and to guide the creation of policies necessary to create a sustainable environment, to increase awareness of sustainability practices and to create a design / model related to sustainability.
