The Subject of “Women and Climate” was on the agenda at the Mediterranean World Forum.


The issue of “Women and Climate” was on the agenda at the Mediterranean World Forum held by the French Republic on February 7-8, 2022 in Marseille, France.


Nearly 500 guests and 5000 participants from different countries and cities of the Mediterranean were hosted at the forum, which was organized to determine the horizon of the Mediterranean until 2030. Six sub-working groups were formed consisting of "Cities and Regions", "Education, Information and Mobility", "Sustainable Development", "Employment, Innovation and Entrepreneurship", "Culture and Heritage", "Inclusiveness" within the scope of the "2030 Mediterranean Advocacy" program. Berk Bhutan, representing the Turkish Derivatives Association and Good4Trust.org teams, took part in the "Sustainable Development" working group with the guidance of the French Embassy, ​​where a policy proposal document was prepared in each sub-working group area with the participation of over 150 experts and researchers from different regions of the Mediterranean. He explained his views under the title of “Derivative Economy”.
 
In addition to the policy recommendations and report submitted to the Mediterranean World Forum by the Derivative Economy Association and Good4Trust.org, two projects with the theme of "Women and Climate" carried out by the Turkish Derivative Economy Association were invited to Marseille with the invitation of the French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Relations. One of these projects was "Women's Work Against Climate and Biodiversity Crises", while the other project was introduced to the participants as "Supporting the Ecological and Socially Just Transformation of Women Producers".
