Associate Prof. Başak Özarslan Doğan, Director of the Sustainable Environment and Society Application and Research Center and Faculty Member of the Department of International Trade and Business, appeared as a guest on Şafak Özsoy's program "Climate Carbon and Net Zero Journey," broadcast on ST Industry Radio on September 2, 2025. She offered comprehensive assessments of universities' sustainability and climate strategies.
 
The program detailed the role of higher education institutions in combating the climate crisis, steps taken to reduce their carbon footprint, and the strategic initiatives needed to achieve net zero targets. Our professor outlined the current status and potential areas for development at Turkish universities in this area, emphasizing that raising highly climate-conscious individuals is possible through educational policies.
 
Our professor, who stated, "Universities should demonstrate not only academic but also environmental leadership," offered concrete examples and suggestions on a wide range of topics, from sustainable campus practices to environmental performance measurement systems.
