Change.org Published 2021 Turkey Change Report.

Change.org is known as the world's largest social change platform with more than 424 million users. In the published report, it is stated which campaigns were signed the most in 2021 and which issues attracted social attention and reaction.

According to the 2021 report, education was the subject that has the most campaigns this year. The most striking issue in the campaigns launched in this area was that university students demanded a free education and administration. Health and animal rights ranked second and third in the list of topics with the most campaigns.

In 2021, a different field was important compared to previous years. The number of campaigns increased rapidly as the climate crisis took place frequently in politics and the media and attracted attention.

Supporters actively used Change.org to react to the effects of the climate crisis and to demand and produce solutions. Signatures were collected intensively, especially during the forest fires. In the report, it is striking that the Z generation is very sensitive to the climate crisis.

With 13,153,590 signatures, the campaigns with the highest number of signatures were animal rights, enactment of laws containing deterrent penalties against violence against animals and punishment of those who abuse animals.

By taking action to prevent violence against women, Turkey's "We Want to Live" campaign and the "We do not give up on the Istanbul Convention" campaign received the most signatures. This campaign was the most signed campaign of 2021 with 472,302 signatures.
